Beer List at Borderland Music Fest Goes Mostly Local

By all accounts, last year’s inaugural Borderland Music & Arts Festival was a rousing success, but that isn’t stopping festival organizers from making a few tweaks for the fest’s sophomore run. One change coming in 2019 is happening on the beer list, which remains 100% craft this year, but this time around, most options will be local.

Among the options this year will be beers from 12 Gates Brewing, 42 North Brewing, Community Beer Works, Big Ditch Brewing, Resurgence Brewing, Flying Bison and Hamilton, Ontario’s Collective Arts Brewing, as well as cider from BlackBird Cider Works.

“Proud to announce that year two of the Borderland Festival will remain a 100% craft event,” 42 North Owner John Cimperman says. “While this year we will also have craft wine and spirits, all the beer on site will be from within the Borderland region (Buffalo/Niagara/Southern Ontario).”

The 2019 Borderland Music & Arts Festival will take place September 21 and 22 in East Aurora at Knox Farm State Park. This year will feature performances from Gov’t Mule, Shakey Graves, Greensky Bluegrass, Mavis Staples, The Wood Brothers, The Infamous Stringdusters, Keller Williams Grateful Grass featuring Oteil Burbridge, The Sheepdogs, Rayland Baxter, The Felice Brothers, Ghost Light, Liz Cooper and the Stampede, Mikaela Davis, Grant Farm, Floodwood with Vinnie Amico of moe., Miller and the Other Sinners, Hayden Fogle Band, Dead Alliance Buffalo, Folkfaces, Wolf Camp, PA Line, Booty and the Kidd and the Leroy Townes Band. There will also be local artisans and food available.
