First time event to feature dozens of rare and one-off beers

Buffalo, NYThe Buffalo Bisons and Buffalo Niagara Brewers Association (BNBA) will host the first ever Buffalo Niagara Brewers Invitational (BNBI) on Saturday, April 2, 2016, 2-5 p.m., at Pettibones Grille (One James D. Griffin Plaza, Buffalo).

Featuring scores of rare, one-off and specialty beers brewed only in Western New York, the event will showcase craft beer by all BNBA member breweries, including 12 Gates Brewing Company; 42 North Brewing Company; Big Ditch Brewing Company; BlackBird Cider Works; Community Beer Works; Ellicottville Brewing Company; Five and 20 Spirits and Brewing; Flying Bison Brewing Company; Four Mile Brewing; Gene McCarthy’s Brewery & Kitchen (Old First Ward Brewing); Gordon Biersch; Hamburg Brewing Company; New York Beer Project; Pan Am Grill & Brewery; Pearl Street Grill & Brewery; Resurgence Brewing Company; Rusty Nickel Brewing Co.; Southern Tier Brewing Company; and Woodcock Brothers Brewing Company.

In addition, the event will feature 10 guest breweries including Brewery Abandon Brewery (Pen Yann), Ommegang (Cooperstown, NY); Great Lakes Brewing Company (Cleveland, OH); Jolly Pumpkin Artisinal Ales (Ann Arbor MI); Beau’s All Natural Brewing (Vankleek Hill, ON); Rohrbach Brewing (Rochester NY); Three Heads Brewing (Rochester, NY); Ithaca Beer Company (Ithaca, NY); Saranac Brewery (Utica, NY); Brooklyn Brewery (New York, NY).

“The Buffalo Niagara Brewer’s Invitational will seek to raise awareness of the astounding array of unique craft beers that can be found right here in Western New York,” said Willard Brooks, Buffalo Niagara Brewers Association Chairman. “With the setting of Buffalo’s iconic Coca-Cola field, we could not be more excited to celebrate a spring day in Buffalo with so many of our premier local and regional breweries.”

ELLICOTTVILLE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND BUFFALO NIAGARA BREWERS ASSOCIATION TO HOST “WINTER BLUES AND BREWS WEEKEND”

Ellicottville visitors to experience sounds and tastes of the region

– The Ellicottville Chamber of Commerce and Buffalo Niagara Brewers Association (BNBA) invite tourists and visitors from around the region to beat the winter blues at the “Winter Blues and Brews Weekend” to be held Friday, January 22 through Sunday January 24, 2016.  

EllicottVBluesBrew 16B3The weekend-long event will give visitors the opportunity to enjoy a variety of blues bands while experiencing unique brews selected from the 20 BNBA member breweries in Western New York. In addition, Ellicottville Brewing Company will host beer tasting events on January 23 and 24 to feature special brews from Big Ditch Brewing Company; Community Beer Works; Flying Bison Brewing Company; Four Mile Brewing Company; 42 North Brewing Company; Hamburg Brewing Company; Resurgence Brewing Company; and Southern Tier Brewing Company.

“Building camaraderie among brewers is important as our industry matures,” said Peter Kreinheder, founder of Ellicottville Brewing Company. “Small, intimate samplings allow for such opportunity.” 

“Winter Blues and Brews Weekend will showcase some of the area’s most beloved blues bands while highlighting the advent of a rapidly growing craft beer sector throughout Western New York and Canada,” said Willard Brooks, Buffalo Niagara Brewers Association Chairman. “Through partnering with the Ellicottville Chamber on this event, we hope to expose both New York State and Canadian visitors to the astounding array of craft beers in the area and broaden awareness of the region’s rich brewing heritage.”
